The 4 days safari starts and ends in Kigali-Rwanda. It takes you through the Congo Virunga National Park a home to the rare mountain gorillas and the Nyiragongo Mountain which features as one of the most powerful and smoky volcanoes. Mount Nyiragongo is a home to the largest Lava Lake in the world.

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Goma town DR Congo
Following breakfast in the morning, you will be picked by our qualified driver guides ready to set off to cross the border between Rwanda and the DR Congo. You will have a stopover at Goma town where you have a brief city tour and its surrounding environment which includes also visiting the green and black Lakes. After, you will return for relaxation dinner and overnight stay at Caritas hotel.
Day 2: Mountain gorilla tracking in Virunga National Park
You will have breakfast early in the morning and after set off for a life changing adventure in Virunga National Park East of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Briefing from the park official on dos and don’ts for gorilla trekking and after you will be allocated to one gorilla group to track in a group of eight people. You will have only one hour of face to face encounter with the great apes. After you will return to the lodge of your choice for relaxation and lunch and in the afternoon you can takes an optional visit to the local king and then return for dinner and overnight stay at Caritas hotel, Bukima Tented Camp.
Day 3: Mount Nyiragongo hike
Following breakfast in the morning, you will set off to Kibati where you will begin the trek hiking through the stunning and lava fields with a steep slope near the top. This includes an overnight stay in the Nyiragongo Crater Cabanas on the Volcano summit. The Spectacular views both day and night makes this the most thrilling adventure that anyone on safari to Africa shouldn’t miss out in life.
Day 4: Following breakfast in the morning, you will descend from the powerful volcano down slope where you will be picked by the driver guide and be transferred to Goma town. You will have lunch around Goma town and later continue to the border and enter Rwanda and connect to Kigali international airport for your scheduled flight.
